Terms of Use

The University of British Columbia has developed a radiology teaching tool for undergraduate medical students that includes an iOS and android compatible app and website ("Service"). By using the Service you are subject to the following Terms of Use, which may be amended at any time without notice.

The Service is provided for use by medical undergraduate students and medical professionals for educational purposes only. The Service is a supplemental educational tool and should not be referred to or relied upon as a replacement for consultation with colleagues or other sources, or as a substitute for conventional training and study. The Service should not be used for self-diagnosis or self-treatment. It is not intended, nor should it be relied upon, as a substitute for independent professional medical care.

All content of the Service is subject to copyright protection. The information, content and software that presented through the Service or used in connection with the Service contain proprietary and confidential information that is protected under Canadian and international intellectual property laws, including copyright, trademarks, service marks, patents or other proprietary rights and laws. You are prohibited from using, downloading, republishing, selling, and duplicating, any component of the Service for commercial or any other purpose any database, in whole or in part, in any medium whatsoever. Any breach by you of copyright may result in legal action against you.

If your violation of these Terms of Use causes harm to others, you agree to indemnify the university of British Columbia against all claims, actions or demands, liabilities, and settlements including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, resulting directly, or indirectly from your breach of these Terms of Use. If there is any dispute between us concerning these Terms of Use or your use of the Service, the dispute will be remitted to non-binding mediation, followed by binding arbitration. Both the mediation and the arbitration will be governed under the rules of the Province of British Columbia and the federal government of Canada.

Your use of the Service is at your own risk. All information included in the components of the Service are provided on an "as is" basis. The University of British Columbia disclaims all warranties, either express or implied, statutory or otherwise, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, non-infringement of third parties' rights, and fitness for particular purpose.

The University of British Columbia reserves the right to right to alter, amend or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
